Department of storage, maintenance and use of documents
Collects and stores operating documents of theaters, concert halls, other cultural and art educational institutions, as well as documents transferred by non-governmental organizations, in accordance with the procedure established by legal acts; in accordance with competence, oversees the implementation of the requirements for the management and use of documents and archives set out in legal acts, coordinates the accounting documents submitted by institutions transferring documents to the archive, provides methodological assistance to assigned institutions; monitors the physical condition of stored documents and implements measures to ensure the preservation of documents; provides individuals with protected documents or their copies for perusal, produces copies of documents at the request of individuals, examines individuals' requests, issues certificates based on protected documents, certified copies of documents, after writing out the facts specified in individuals' requests for confirmation; provides information to institutions and individuals.
Document management and accounting department
Collects documents transferred by private legal and natural persons, non-governmental organizations, manages stored documents and their accounting, prepares information search tools, creates and supplements descriptions of the Electronic Archive information system, collects information about documents located in Lithuania and foreign countries, related to the archives stored by the National Document Fond in part, their custodians.
