The employee performs the following functions:

  • Organizes the work of the department, is responsible for the execution of the tasks and functions set for the department, is responsible for the implementation of laws and other legal acts, preparation of the necessary legal acts according to the competence of the department;
  • Ensures accounting of protected documents, preparation of information search tools and systems;
  • Creates and supplements Electronic Archive Information System (LAFS/EAIS) descriptions;
  • Manages the accounting of documents stored in the archive, prepares documents on the composition and content of fonds, participates in the collection, processing, publication and other work of the department; In accordance with the competence of the department, participates in the preparation of draft annual activity plans of the archive;
  • Gives orders to department employees, advises them, controls the execution of given orders;
  • Accounts for the work of the department according to the established procedure;
  • Represents the department according to competence;
  • Executes the orders of the director and deputy director of the archive.

The employee must meet the following special requirements:

  • To know the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania and other legal acts regulating civil service, labor relations, information protection and provision;
  • Have a good knowledge of the Law on Documents and Archives of the Republic of Lithuania, other legal acts regulating the management of documents;
  • Have a university education in the field of humanities, professional knowledge and archival work experience;
  • To know the history of Lithuanian culture, activities of culture and art, educational institutions and organizations, types and genres of art, representatives of art creators and art scientists, to constantly deepen and update their knowledge;
  • To be able to independently solve issues arising in the work of the department, independently plan and organize their own work and that of the department;
  • Fluently teach ideas in writing and orally in the national language, know how to work with a computer using the Microsoft Office software package, know the requirements for the preparation of legal acts and other documents;
  • Have the basics of a foreign language;
  • To be dutiful, hardworking, creative, able to communicate with people;
  • Constantly improve your qualifications.
