The employee performs the following functions:

  • Analyzes the information presented in the media about the activities of the Archive, if necessary, makes suggestions regarding the position of the Archive on issues raised in the public sphere;
  • Prepares and distributes information about the activities of the Archive to the media and other recipients of public information, actively seeks media interest in relevant topics: initiates interviews, publications, provides additional information to the media (accreditation, press releases, press conferences, answers to inquiries);
  • Organizes the creation and publishing of informative-representative publications, video reports, television and radio programs about the activities of the Archive, implements creative solutions (publications, greetings, speeches) in order to provide evocative information about the activities of the Archive;
  • Implements the communication actions of the Archive: prepares press releases, informative articles and information on social networks, etc.;
  • Prepares and coordinates information campaigns and publicity campaigns about the activities of the Archive;
  • Communicates with journalists, answers their questions, provides or organizes the provision of information of interest to them about the activities of the Archive, informs them about the most important events taking place in the Archive;
  • Ensures the representativeness of the Archive's website, promptly publishes on the Archive's website the information prepared and distributed to the media about the Archive's activities; informs about the Archive's events, contains information about the competitions announced by the Archive, etc.;
  • If necessary, participates in the preparation of the strategy and means of informing the public about the activities of the Archive;
  • Performs other one-time tasks of the head of the department in order to implement the measures set out in the annual plans of the archive.

The employee must meet the following special requirements:

  • Have a university degree or an equivalent education in the field of humanities or social sciences studies;
  • Have at least 2 years of work experience in the field of copywriting, journalism (or public relations);
  • Know and be able to apply the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, other legal acts regulating public information;
  • To know the Law on Documents and Archives of the Republic of Lithuania, other legal acts regulating the management of documents;
  • Be able to manage, accumulate, systematize, summarize information, see problems, evaluate them, formulate tasks, propose motivated ways of solving problems, draw conclusions and make decisions;
  • Excellent ability to teach ideas in writing and orally;
  • Know English at B1 level of advanced user level;
  • To know the rules of clerical work, to be able to work with the Microsoft Office software package.
