The employee performs the following functions:

  • Performs supervision of the management and use of documents and archives in assigned state cultural and art educational institutions as established in legal acts;
  • Plans and performs inspections of the document management and archive status of assigned state institutions, consults, provides methodological and practical assistance to the employees of the institutions on issues of document and archive management, storage, use and transfer to state archives;
  • Processes information related to the management of electronic documents or, if necessary, coordinates the processing of related information;
  • Prepares and provides information related to the management of electronic documents;
  • Prepares and submits proposals related to the maintenance of electronic documents;
  • Implements procedures for accepting electronic documents into the state archive and accounting for resources used. Have a higher university education (bachelor's degree) or equivalent higher education qualification in the field of communication, heritage studies, history, information systems (or) be interested in the history of Lithuanian culture, the activities of culture and art, educational institutions and organizations, types and genres of art, representatives of art creators and art scholars, constantly deepen and update their knowledge; 

The employee must meet the following special requirements:

  • Know the Law on Documents and Archives of the Republic of Lithuania, other legal regulations regulating the use, accounting, management and storage of documents;
  • Have a higher university education (bachelor's degree) or an equivalent higher education qualification in the field of communication, heritage studies, history, information systems (or) be interested in the history of Lithuanian culture, the activities of culture and art, educational institutions and organizations, types and genres of art, representatives of artists and art scholars, constantly deepen and update their knowledge;
  • Be able to evaluate cultural processes, select the most valuable, most characteristic documents;
  • Be able to manage, accumulate, systematize, summarize information, identify problems, evaluate them, formulate tasks, propose motivated ways of solving problems, draw conclusions and make decisions;
  • Be able to independently plan, organize their activities, independently choose methods of activity, be able to analyze and summarize information, draw conclusions;
  • Be able to convey ideas in writing and orally;
  • Be proficient in English at the advanced user level B2;
  • Be familiar with the rules of clerical work, be able to work with the Microsoft Office software package.
